We are very pleased to announce the winners of our
Free 4 All Early Edition T-shirt Design competition!

We received over 3 000 entries into our competition which invited primary school learners to design a T-shirt that illustrated the fact that Glass Recycling is cool!
 
Hundreds of colourful, creative and thoughtful T-shirts were received and included in the line-up judged by well known actor and local hottie, Emmanuel Castis; bubbly and enthusiastic 5fm DJ, Sureshnie Rider; and Shabeer Jhetam, general manager of The Glass Recycling Company. With so many inspiring “green” designs to consider, selecting the top three was a hugely challenging job for the judges.
 
But there can only be three winners in The Glass Recycling Company’s Design a T-shirt competition, so CONGRATULATIONS to the budding artists with a heart and an eye for “green” :
 
1st place - Angelique Roberts, Morningside Primary, Age 9
Prize: an iPod plus R1 500 cash and a copy of Spud goes Green Eco-book
   
   
Morningside Primary School in Durban will also receive R5 000 for Angelique’s winning entry.
 
 
2nd place - Alison Green, Camps Bay Primary School, Age 13
Prize: a cell phone with airtime worth R1 000 and a copy of Spud goes Green Eco-book
    
3rd place - Adrian Layters, Marine Primary School, Age 13
Prize: a cell phone with airtime worth R500 and a copy of Spud goes Green Eco-book

CONGRATULATIONS to the nine primary school learners across South Africa who entered The Free 4 All Glass Recycling SMS competition!

These eco-buddies all read and took note of the celebrity tips issued on glass recycling in their Free 4 All newspaper (you too can read these “green” tips by clicking here: Green Celebs).  By answering a simple eco-friendly question and SMS-ing us their answers these “green” learners stood in line to win great prizes for their efforts.
